10 Work-From-Home Jobs, You can Explore during Covid-19

In a split second, it seems that many have found that having to go to the office daily has become a thing of the past. For someone like me, it’s HALLELUJAH! I have always wanted to work from home and that’s the truth.

In the present day of Covid-19 many have lost their jobs and don’t know where to turn to or what to do because guess what? the bills haven’t stopped flowing. So this article is just to shed some light on the many opportunities/ work-from-home jobs which we may have overlooked in the past as we hustled and bustled to and fro the office in the recent past.

  1. Baker/Caterer/Chef: Do you know how to bake or cook and love it? do your friends/family compliment you every time you make a dish? Maybe it’s time to turn this passion into a business.
  2. Affiliate Marketer: You see those many links you find on websites you visit from time to time, the links you click with enthusiasm? They are affiliate links. It is called referral marketing because the person whose link they are is referring you to a product/company. When you click the link or order the product they receive a commission. It’s that easy. You could do it. I am an affiliate to Amazon and that’s why I’ve got the Amazon logo up on my website. When a person orders via the Amazon logo on my site I get paid.
  3. Blogger: A blogger is basically someone who writes about their passion/interest. It’s quite inexpensive and easy to start and before you know it, you could be earning from it. It does take time to kick off but if you have good content and write consistently, you will gain visitors to your blog and a good change to your life.
  4. Child Caregiver: Have you ever had to look after your sibling or another child? Do you have children? Maybe you haven’t given it much thought, but if you love children you could take this on for part of the day if not for the whole day. You could do this but please make sure that you have the appropriate permits in place. There is a lot going on out there as regards children, and every government wants to make sure that children are not placed in the hands of the wrong people to care for them. They are known to come down strongly on persons without the necessary requirements in place.
  5. Consulting: If you have specialist knowledge in an area, e.g as a lawyer, accountant, nurse then you are in the position to give advice to persons or organisations for a fee.
  6. Customer Service Representative/Virtual Assistants: Many organisations, thanks to covid -19 have suddenly woken up to the fact that they do not really need an office to operate their business. Such organisations now have their Customer Service reps working from their individual homes. The same goes for a virtual Assistant or Administrator. Do you possess excellent communication and office skills? You may want to explore this area.
  7. Data Entry: If you enjoy inputting data into spreadsheets or forms then here’s a job for you. Many organisations, especially in these times, are looking for persons to do their data entry. Why not jump on the bus?
  8. Editing and Proofreading: Many years ago, I took on a course in editing and proofreading. From time to time I take on work as a proofreader and I choose whether to get paid or not for it. The downside for me though is I’m not always interested in the content brought to me.
  9. Youtuber: People are making a ton of money these days just by putting out educative/inspiring videos in the area of their interest/passion. You sign up to youtube’s partner program then build up your subscribers through good content and engagement. Once again I must warn you that it may take a while, but with diligence and consistency, you can start making money from the views received or ads placed by Adsense when your video is shown. See my youtube link below.
  10. Instructor: Are you good at driving? Are you passionate about making the right choices when it comes to food or exercise? Are you good at playing the piano or other musical instrument? There are people out there who want to know what you know and are willing to pay you to share your knowledge with them.

Trump Cards – The elements of the Deal

Trump -The Art of the DealDEALS

My style of deal-making is quite simple and straightforward. I aim very high, and then I just keep pushing and pushing and pushing to get what I’m after. Sometimes I settle for less than I sought, but in most cases, I still end up with what I want.

More than anything else, I think deal making is an ability you’re born with. It’s in the genes. I don’t say that egotistically. It’s not about being brilliant. It does take a certain intelligence, but mostly it’s about instincts. You can take the smartest kid at Wharton, the one who gets straight A’s and has a 170 IQ, and if he doesn’t have the instincts, he’ll never be a successful entrepreneur.

Moreover, most people who do have the instincts will never recognize that they do, because they don’t have the courage or the good fortune to discover their potential. Somewhere out there are a few men with more innate talent at golf than Jack Nicklaus, or women with greater ability at tennis than Chris Evert or Martina Navaratilova, but they will never lift a club or swing a racket and therefore will never find out how great they could have been. Instead, they’ll be content to sit and watch stars perform on television.

When I look back at the deals I’ve made – and the ones I’ve lost or let pass – I see certain common elements. But unlike the real estate evangelists you see all over television these days, I can’t promise you that by following the precepts I’m about to offer you’ll become a millionaire overnight. Unfortunately, life rarely works that way, and most people who try to get rich quick end up going broke instead. As for those among you who do have the genes, who do have the instincts, and who could be highly successful, well, I still hope you won’t follow my advice. Because that would just make it a much tougher world for me.

The above has been taken from the book – TRUMP THE ART OF THE DEAL by Donald J. Trump with Tony Schwartz. Get your copy today, here. Alternatively, click the Amazon logo on the top right of this blog.
