Can you imagine sitting in a boat in the middle of a storm, trying desperately to row against the wind? You are doing your best to get to the other side of the lake, but you’re not getting anywhere. Then, all of a sudden, Jesus comes walking up toward the boat; literally walking on the water! This is exactly what happened to the disciples. At first, they flipped out, but Jesus said,” Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid”.
When you are trying to get somewhere and it seems like you’re stuck in the middle of all sorts of problems and nothing is going your way, you don’t have to flip out and be terrified. There is no problem or storm life can throw at you that Jesus can’t overcome. He will always show you a way through your storms.

This is it. Matthew 22:36-37 tells us the most important commandment. If you’ve decided to get serious about your relationship with God, then this commandment is the place to start. Every element of being Christlike is built on this principle. Learning to love the Lord with your heart, soul, and mind will be a continual process that lasts your whole life.
So what does it look like to love the Lord with every part of you? It means that you begin to love the way God loves, think the way God thinks, act the way God acts, and hate the things God hates. Don’t hold Back. His love for you has no limits or hesitations. You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain by going for it.
Don’t be disappointed if you’re not an overnight sensation. Remember, this is a process – learning to spend time with Him; giving and receiving grace; working on areas of your life that don’t look anything like God; forgiving and being forgiven; trusting; slowly, ever so wonderfully, looking more and more like the One you love. Imitation is the highest form of adoration. Be an imitator of God.
