Winning In Life.

How to Win in Life

Hello, hello, hello friends,

I want to believe y’all are doing just fine and it is well with you.

Today, we want to talk about something that is absolutely a must do for each and everyone of us and this really classifies a daily living advice. It just must be adhered to for one to be truly successful. Do you know anyone who sat down to say, ” I want to be a spectator in life seeing others make a headway”? I don’t know anyone who thinks that way. Every human being I know wants to succeed.

This week I want to share thoughts in the line of winning in life, what it means and what it entails. As mentioned above, I don’t think there’s anyone on this planet who doesn’t want to win in life, however, winning in life means different things to different people. Some don’t care how they win in life, whether they have to step on others to do so or whatever else they have to do to achieve their purpose. The question then arises as to whether this is really winning.

In light of this we will take a look at winning in life God’s way, afterall the Bible says in the book of 1 Peter 2 : 21 – Christ is your example, follow in his footsteps.

Winning in life in a nutshell means to be successful, prospering in who you are and what you are called by God to do. Follow me as I share a few nuggets based on this definition:

1) Compete and compare
What? Are you saying I should compete with others? “Sorry Grace, I will not compare myself to others!” you say. Exactly, I have not told you to do that. What you must do is compete with yourself so that you can become the best you can be. Push/stretch yourself as far as you can by God’s grace. Compare yourself to the Lord Jesus and what do you see? He is our example so it makes sense to compare ourselves to Him, I’m sure you will agree. This is daily living advice hint 1. You can never go wrong imitating the one who gave you life and died on the cross for you.

2) Put God first (read Job 22:21)
When you put God first, He’ll put you first. When you take care of His business, He’ll take care of yours. Never allow anything to take the place of God in your life. This is daily living advice hint 2.

3) Know that God wants you to succeed
God being the loving Father that He is wants all of His children to succeed, but there are certain things we must do (read 2 Chronicles 31:21). We must seek God, work wholeheartedly and He will bring the increase. Having said this, it helps to do the following:

a) Set an achievable goal then work towards it, one priority at a time. A broken focus always brings failure.

b) Write down your plan and establish deadlines.

c) Visualize yourself attaining your goal; talk and think in success pictures.

d) Stay informed (Proverbs 1:5) – Observe, read and grow.

e) Follow through on projects. The next time you have something you need to do,decide the best time to get it done and do it!

4) Help others achieve success (read Ephesians 6:8)
Make something good happen for others and watch to see whether God will not make something good happen for you. This is how to get on the winning side in life. It’s the way to be successful!

Guess what? It’s time for me to say bye.

Ta, have a pleasantly unusual week.

God bless you.

Your Child May Be in Trouble On-line.

Daily Living Advice

Hi Friends,
I want to thank you for being attentive to the various thoughts which I have shared with you on this platform. I sincerely hope that you have gained one or two or even three things from these articles. This time around, I would like us to give some thought to our children, our precious offspring.

As we go about every day seeking our daily bread to feed our families and also to give our children a better life, it’s very easy to become so absorbed in these activity that we lose sight of what our children are up to on-line (the internet). Let me ask you, would you know if your child was in trouble? Now, that’s food for thought isn’t it?

Look at the 4 points listed below, if your child or teenager does any of them then it’s time for you to act!

1) They rush to get on the computer at the same time everyday.
Many children have fallen unwittingly into the hands of evil child predators out there who have portrayed themselves as the ages of their targets. They worm themselves into a relationship with naive and oblivious children and this does not happen in one day. If you find that your child is is indeed getting on the internet at the same time everyday it just may be that they are conversing with someone with evil intentions.

2) Secretive while online.
How does your child react when you come alongside them while they are on the computer? Do they automatically change the screen to display something else? do they become irritable at you? This may be an indication that they are up to something.

3) Happy when they come offline.
If your child is overly happy when they come off the computer it may be that they are on to something however this may be tricky because they might just be happy on completing a project or other. Having said that it’s worth taking time to monitor your child in this area.

4) Depression
Often times this may be as a result of your child falling out with their peers, but it is worth taking the trouble to ensure that it is not due to another issue encountered online with a stranger.

The points above are just a few of the many signs to be on the lookout for. However, the main sign that you must keep your eye on is the change in their behaviour.

I hope this article sheds some light in this area. Please feel free to send in your feedback.

Have a wonderful week.

It’s been me.
